Self-Care Saturday: Sis, Take It Back!

Let me say this loud enough for the people in the back (and for the version of you that forgot for just a second)...

→ Your joy? Yours. → Your peace? Yours. → Your purpose? Yep… still yours.

Listen, this is your Self-Care Saturday reminder that nobody — and I mean nobody — can wear your joy, peace, or purpose like you. It was tailor-made for you, honey. Custom-fit. One-of-a-kind. Ain’t no duplicate. Ain’t no copy-paste.

But can we talk real quick?

Because somewhere along the way… maybe this week, maybe this morning, or maybe right before you clicked this blog… you started loosening your grip.

Started letting little things (or little people) inch their way in and snatch what was never theirs to begin with.

→ That joy? Hanging on the rack like it's last season’s clearance item.

→ That peace? Sitting on the shelf like some decor you only pull out for company.

→ And that purpose? Boxed up like old shoes in the back of the closet.

Oh no ma’am. Not today. Not on Self-Care Saturday.

Today is the day you take it ALL back.

Regroup your thoughts.

Refocus your mind.

Realize your power.

Because here’s the thing: nobody can control your joy, your peace, or your purpose unless you hand them the keys. And let me just remind you — those keys? They belong on your keychain, not in everybody else's pocket.

Self-care isn’t always bubble baths and candles (although yes, please to both). Sometimes self-care is straight-up protection — protecting your energy, your mental space, your heart.

Sometimes self-care looks like:

→ Saying no without guilt.

→ Setting boundaries like your life depends on it (because it kinda does).

→ Snatching your joy back like it owes you money.

→ Putting your peace on do not disturb.

→ And unboxing your purpose like it's a new gift every day — because it is.

Real talk — you’ve got too much greatness in you to let outside noise mute your inner voice.

Your joy fits YOU.

Your peace was designed with YOU in mind.

Your purpose was handwritten by God with YOUR name on it.

Nobody else can rock it like you. Nobody else can walk it like you. Nobody else was meant to carry it but you.

So today, let this be your Saturday assignment:

Take. It. Back.

→ Think about what you’ve been letting slide.

→ Check what you’ve been leaving on the shelf.

→ And lovingly — but firmly — take back every piece of you that belongs rightfully in your hands.

Because Self-Care Saturday isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. And sis… so are you.

The world doesn’t need another copy of somebody else. It needs the real, joyful, peaceful, purpose-filled YOU.

Own it. Guard it. Live it out loud.

Happy Self-Care Saturday, beautiful.

"Your joy is not up for grabs. Your peace is not up for debate. And your purpose? Baby, that's non-transferable."
